Here is a sampling of some of the alcohol and other drug workshops we offer for schools, treatment programs and other organizations.

How to Intervene on Adolescents in Trouble with Alcohol and Other Drugs
This intensive two-day workshop offers professionals practical and effective training on how to use intervention to deal effectively with young people in trouble with alcohol and other drugs.  Participants will lean how to use contracts, make successful referrals, and develop an effective policy that will make a difference in their homes, schools, and communities.  

Relapse Prevention for Chemically Dependent Adolescents
Young people come back from a treatment program and we just tell them to "hang in there!"  That's not enough.  Given the relapse rate and the impulsive nature of adolescence, we must provide them new skills they can use when they get the urge to get high.  This one-day workshop will give you what you need to teach recovering young people how to prevent their own relapse as well as create a program in your school to help ensure that recovering students stay clean and sober.

Tobacco Possession or Use Discipline Policy Workshop
Schools across the country are beginning to view student tobacco use as a health issue rather than just "kids being bad."  It's also becoming clear than merely suspending a student isn't a strategy that works--yet, we don't want to send a message of permissiveness.  How do we take a firm no-use stand, yet extend a helping hand in response to this serious health issue?  This workshop lays out best practice from a variety of approaches so that you can develop a policy that will fit your school's needs.  There will be time during the workshop to debate a number of issues, and hear about other workshop participants' polices.
